Basically 11 pins evens out the amp draw better than the 7 pins. Bit more efficient. If you are just building a basic, back to back neopixel strip blade then 7 pins is fine. (3 pins for negative, 3 pins for positive and 1 for data). If you were running 3 neopixel strips then you would probably need 11 pins. Themore pins a CPU has, the more power it can receive. And, as you might have guessed, a 12-pin CPU can handle more power than an 8-pin one. So, if you’re a hardcore gamer or a power user, a 12-pin CPU is probably the way to go.
